Basada en el cuento universal de los hermanos Grimm, la historia nos traslada a la España de los años 20; a una Andalucía en la que el folclore, el flamenco y el mundo del toreo son las piezas clave para ambientar una trama que gracias a la frescura y lo insólito de la propuesta a nivel contextual supone un giro sustancial y un impecable aspecto formal.
Un hermoso homenaje al cine mudo de los años veinte en el que la escasez de palabra no está reñida con la cantidad de sensaciones que se llegan a transmitir al espectador. Una fotografía en blanco y negro que nos transportará a un universo gótico y puramente expresionista. Un gran trabajo de reconstrucción histórica (1910 y 1929) tanto en decorados como en vestuario. Talentosas actuaciones… como la del torero, el actor mexicano, Daniel Gimenez Cacho y la maravillosa Maribel Verdú. ‘Blancanieves’ es una muy estimulante reinvención del cuento tradicional, contando además con un prodigioso acabado técnico que consigue emular las constantes del cine mudo. Un pequeño milagro fílmico en blanco y negro, una joya del cine que volvemos a traer a nuestra audiencia en 18FCTS.
Arrasó con 10 de los premios Goya ( Oscar Español) 35 premios internacionales y 20 nominaciones, Fue seleccionada para representar a España en los Óscares.

Based on the universal tale by the Grimm brothers, the story takes us to the Spain of the 1920s; to an Andalusia in which folklore, Flamenco and the world of bullfighting are the key pieces to set the scene for a plot that, thanks to the freshness and unusualness of the proposal at a contextual level, it represents an impeccable formal aspect.
A beautiful tribute to the silent cinema of the twenties in which the scarcity of words is not at odds with the intensity of sensations that are transmitted to the viewer. A black and white photograph that will transport us to a gothic and purely expressionist universe, A great job of historical reconstruction (the events are set in the years between 1910 and 1929) both in sets and costumes. Talented performances… such as that of the bullfighter, the Mexican actor Daniel Gimenez Cacho and the wonderful Maribel Verdu…in short, ‘Snow White’ is a very stimulating reinvention of the traditional tale, also having a prodigious technical finish that manages to emulate the constants of silent cinema.
