Se ha desarrollado en el ámbito cinematográfico desde 1996. Ha colaborado en las áreas de promoción internacional del Instituto Mexicano de Cinematografía, del Instituto Latinoamericano para la Comunicación Educativa, de Cineteca Nacional y
de la Revista Variety. Durante 10 años estuvo a cargo de la Dirección de Industria y del Mercado de Cine Iberoamericano del Festival Internacional de Cine en Guadalajara. Ha participado en numerosas ocasiones en los festivales y mercados de cine más destacados del mundo (Berlín, Cannes, Toronto, Roma, San Sebastián, Los
Ángeles, Miami, Cartagena y Locarno, entre otros). En 2013 se integró como Coordinadora General al Festival Internacional de Cine
de Los Cabos y en 2018 asumió la Dirección Ejecutiva del Festival, evento reconocido como uno de los escaparates fílmicos más importantes en México.

In 2013 she joined the International Film Festival as General Coordinator of Los Cabos and in 2018 he assumed the Executive Direction of the Festival, event recognized as one of the most important film showcases in Mexico.

Sarah nace en Kansas City y reside permanentemente en San Miguel de Allende desde 1972.
En 1988 funda la Comisión de Filmaciones del Estado de Guanajuato para la atracción y atención de proyectos audiovisuales: películas, telenovelas, videoclips y sesiones fotográficas de revistas especializadas. Fungió como su directora hasta febrero del 2009. En un principio atendió 7 películas al año y al dejar el cargo se llevaban a cabo más de 80 proyectos en el Estado. Ella y su staff coordinaron más de 450 producciones de cine y televisión durante 11 años. En 1998 funda el Festival Internacional de Cortometraje Expresión en Corto, el cual ahora es conocido como GIFF (Guanajuato International Film Festival). Este se lleva a cabo cada año en el mes de julio en las ciudades de San Miguel de Allende y Guanajuato capital. El Festival es considerado, por la prensa especializada e instituciones internacionales de la industria cinematográfica, como uno de los más importantes en su género a nivel mundial. El festival fue creado para proveer un espacio alternativo y dinámico para la expresión audiovisual, así como premiar el largometraje, documental y cortometraje. El próximo julio realizará su decimonovena edición ininterrumpida. El GIFF recibe más de 3,200 películas en competencia al año, provenientes de más de 120 países. Desde su inicio, todos los eventos del Festival son gratuitos.
