Alejandra Trelles
(Montevideo, Uruguay, 1974) Directora artística de Cinemateca Uruguaya y directora del Festival Internacional de Cine del Uruguay. Desde 2005 trabaja como programadora de Cinemateca Uruguaya, institución cultural y emblemática de la ciudad de Montevideo y uno de los archivos fílmicos más importantes de Latinoamérica, fundado en 1952. Desde el año 2009 es directora del Festival Cinematográfico Internacional del Uruguay, organizado por Cinemateca Uruguaya, que este año celebra su 40ª edición. En 2013 crea el Festival de Cine a pedal, muestra temática en pantallas al aire libre en distintos puntos de la ciudad cuyas proyecciones se realizan exclusivamente con la energía que genera el pedaleo de los espectadores. Ha programado también ciclos de cine mudo con pianista y de cine y jazz acompañados por conciertos, cine infantil e itinerancias por todo el país. En Uruguay, ha sido también directora de programación del Festival de Cine de Punta del Este y del Festival Llamale H y, en España, programadora del Festival Cineuropa de Santiago de Compostela y del Festival de Málaga. Ha participado como jurado en numerosos festivales internacionales de cine y fondos de desarrollo. Es traductora y docente y colabora como periodista cultural y crítica cinematográfica en diversos medios escritos, principalmente el periódico La Diaria y el semanario Brecha.

She has also been director of programming for the Punta del Este Film Festival and the Llamale H Festival and, in Spain, programmer for the Santiago de Compostela Cineuropa Festival and the Malaga Film Festival. He has participated as a jury in numerous international film festivals and development funds. She is a translator and teacher and collaborates as a cultural journalist and film critic in various written media, mainly the newspaper La Diaria and the weekly Brecha.
NAJAT EL BAZ
Najat el Baz nació en Meknes, originaria del sur de Marruecos. Ella vive y trabaja en Agadir. Es una artista muy ambiciosa que se ha abierto camino. A pesar de su edad, esta artista es atípica. Ella empezó a dibujar a los 3 años, y su madre la descubrió. Las obras de Najat el Baz constituyen un mundo por descubrir, su pintura es una búsqueda de otra parte y del más allá. Abre las puertas a un mundo para percibir un universo fascinante en el que cada lienzo es una historia por descubrir. Su amor por su patria y las loables acciones cívicas que emprende, influyen también su acción plástica. Por eso ha merecido el título de embajadora- portavoz de varios críticos que han encontrado en sus obras un verdadero crisol de las innovaciones más excepcionales.
Ella expone regularmente en Estados Unidos, Francia, Italia, España, Líbano… Su pintura ha recibido reconocimiento internacional. Recibió varios premios del centro cultural de la sede de las Naciones Unidas en Nueva York. Es medallista por la Academia de las Artes. Sciences et Lettres de París por toda su obra. Fue invitada de honor para representar a Marruecos varias veces durante programas de intercambio cultural en Estados Unidos y Europa. En 2016 fundó una Asociación Internacional de Intercambio de Arte cuyo objetivo es intercambiar eventos culturales internacionales entre Marruecos y el extranjero, y como tal, la organización de ferias internacionales de arte contemporáneo, festivales de cine y actividades artísticas.
Najat el Baz was born in Meknes, originally from Southern Morocco. She lives and works in Agadir. She is an artist that started drawing at the age of 3, discovered by her mother.. The works of Najat el Baz constitute a world to discover. Her painting is a search elsewhere and beyond that opens the doors to a fascinating universe in which each canvas is a story to discover. Her love for her country and the laudable civic actions she undertakes also influenced her artistic vision. That is why she deserved the title of ambassador-spokesperson given by several critics who have found in her works a veritable melting pot of the most exceptional innovations.
She regularly exhibits in the United States, France, Italy, Spain, Lebanon… Her painting has received international recognition. She received several awards from the cultural center of the United Nations headquarters in New York. She is a medalist by the Academy of Arts Sciences et Lettres de Paris for all her work. She was a guest of honor to represent Morocco several times during cultural exchange programs in the United States and Europe. In 2016 he founded an International Art Exchange Association whose objective is to exchange international cultural events between Morocco and abroad, and as such, the organization of international contemporary art fairs, film festivals and artistic activities.
