Directed by prestigious director Carlos Carrera, Steps to Fame follows five Mexican children and their families, who pursue stardom from their respective towns. Determined to achieve the success that will hopefully lead to fame, they arrive in the bright lights of Mexico City, where superstars are made. Carrera presents the harsh truth of the pursuit of fame and fortune through the eyes of children as we witness their sacrifices, illusions, highs, lows and dead ends of their adventures in pursuit of a dream: to be a famous actor!
