Basado libremente en el cuento universalmente famoso, Alicia en el País de las Maravillas de Lewis Carrol, el film es una adaptación del relato del fantástico viaje de Alicia . quien encuentra en su periplo a los personajes icónicos ;  el Conejo Blanco, El Sombrerero Loco, el Gato de Cheshire, la Reina Roja y nuevos personajes como La Ballena Gris  quien  monta a Alicia en su lomo para llevarla en este fantástico periplo trans-oceánico… bajo el agua!… iniciando el viaje desde la costa del Pacifico en Todos Santos, Baja California Sur, México, desde  la playa Punta Lobos hasta las inmensidades del fondo del mar. El film exalta la belleza natural de BCS, su deslumbrante vida marina, sus tesoros ocultos, sus insólitos personajes  y la necesidad de crear conciencia por la conservación de su prístino medio ambiente. 

Esta es una historia universal de renovación espiritual y responsabilidad por la protección de los océanos y sus criaturas. Un bello relato sobre la  amistad, creatividad y advertencia sobre los peligros del descontrol consumista del plástico y su impacto en nuestra vida cotidiana y en nuestro futuro.

Alicia en el País de las Ballenas fue  creada por los niños y jóvenes de Todos Santos a través de los Talleres de la Escuela de Cine Leonardo Perel en colaboración con la productora La Casa del Árbol , Buenos Aires, Argentina

Based freely on the universally famous tale Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carrol,  Alice in the Land of the Whales  is an adaptation of the story of Alice’s fantastic journey. who finds in her journey the iconic characters; the White Rabbit, The Mad Hatter, the Cheshire Cat, the Red Queen and new characters like The Gray Whale who rides her on her back to take her on this fantastic trans-oceanic journey … underwater! Starting the journey from the Pacific coast  in Todos Santos, Baja California Sur, Mexico, Punta Lobos beach to the immensities of the sea floor, the film exalts the natural beauty of BCS, its dazzling marine life, its treasures and mysterious characters and the need to raise awareness for the conservation of its environment.

This is a universal story of spiritual renewal and responsibility for the protection of the oceans and their creatures, a beautiful story of friendship, creativity that expresses the dangers of consumerism of plastic and its impact on our daily lives and the environment and our future.

Alice in the Land of the Whales  ® was produced by the Escuela de Cine Leonardo Perel and acted by the children and youth of Todos Santos, Baja California Sur, Mexico  in collaboration with  LA CASA DEL ARBOL, Buenos Aires, Argentina
