Neimar tiene ocho años, vive en un pequeño pueblo y está ilusionado por hacer su primera comunión, ya que su abuela le ha asegurado que ese día conocerá a Dios.  Su vida transcurre tranquila entre cuidar caballos de carreras, de los que es fanático; trabajar en un tope pidiendo dinero y ayudar a su mamá a vender tamales los fines de semana junto a su mejor amiga, Demi.Toda esta serenidad en el entorno de Neimar cambia de pronto. Su vida se va llenando de decepciones que harán que reconsidere su entorno, dejando de lado su inocencia.

Neimar lives in a small town in México, he is 8 years old and looking forward to receiving his First Communion since his grandma promised him that on that day, he will be closer to God and perhaps meet him. And in the meantime his life goes by quietly between taking care of racehorses, which he loves; hanging out at cross roads, asking for money and selling his mom’s tamales on the weekends helped by his best friend. All this ease and comfort around him changes suddenly.  In a heartbeat, his life is full of uncertainties that will make him reconsider his relations and living environment on a journey through light and darkness.
